@sameer2730 : So when you made the mistake "Country Of Citizenship" on your EAD eFile, how did you get that corrected? Did you send in a "Request For Correction" along with your supporting documentation to USCIS? Did they send you an RFE or did they accept your docs and approved your EAD?

Hi,
My attorney is requesting that I need to submit Tax return for filing AOS.
I had sent W2 forms
Is tax return separate from W2 , I am confused..:confused:

W-2 is the form you would have received from your employer. Against which you field your tax returns. relax and send both. W2- says what you've earned. Tax returns explains what IRS has earned on you. Everyone's happy.

What if H1-B extension is for last 3 years of total 6 years? It means,my first 3 years are ending in nov 07, and if I file 485, will I get 3 years of extension or 1 yr extension?

I have a question: How many months in advance should you apply for H1 extension? Do you get extension from the date you applied or from date when your H1 expires?
1) You can apply up to 6 months before your H1 expires.

There may be members posting their thoughts and suggestions on multiple websites. Right now immigrationvoice.org is separate org and has a different approach to others that I know. This org is going to raise funds and hire professional strategist who knows how to cross a minefield and get our priorites introduced in one or other vehicle of legislation.
Everyone here on this org is:
1. Affected by retrogression.
2. Already tried individual efforts to educate/convince congress to eliminate employment based retrogression and raise GC quote for EB2, EB3.
3. Realized after defeat of provisions in S 1932 in the house that we need professional help and need to spend money, time and efforts to get it done.
While individual efforts are not bad, lobbying certainly makes a lot of difference when it comes to get our priorities stay in legislation during intense debate over immigration in general.
Please keep you valuable contributions coming in terms of your time, forum replies and money. We have raised $5000 dollars in 2 days and our goal is $100,000 for professional lobbying help and we need to raise that much in next few weeks.

how about contributing money to IV? that will help more than stirring up a hornet's nest about boycotts etc.
as far as powerful messages go, what more powerful message can there be than having a bill or two passed that can help us. with the necessary support from its members, I am confident that IV can deliver.
each individual member can help us in any capacity. It is a combination of everybody's effort (and not just IV core team) that enables us to succeed in our mission.

I haven't got any response from my lawyer yet, but in the mean time I called USCIS customer service. At first time, I was transferred to ae 2nd level operator, but while I was waiting, the phone was disconnected. So I called again and explained my situation again to a different operator (1st level). This time, she did some investigation and told me that I should have only one A# and opened a service request. She informed me that I should get a response by Oct. 25.
But some of your lawyers said that they have seen the same situations and there has been no problem, I think it is ok to have two different A#s.

Now I am working for a company in OPT .
My OPT start at 7/10/2006
My OPT end at 7/9/2007
add 60 days Grace period ,so the date will be 9/7/2007
So 9/7/2007 till 10/1/2007 will have 24 days GAP.
How can I do to solve it ?
You can not work after 7/9/2007.
The end of the OPT will determine when you must stop working.
The 60 days grace period is only for you to take care of business before you go back home. In your case you must wait for 2 months and 24 days before returning to work otherwise you will be in violation of your status.

It would be helpful to everyone if all of you could also report the USD equivalent of the figures you are mentioning. Assume 1USD = Rs. 50 for simplicity. This would help the people who just skim the threads for information.

I would suggest to go with EAD and AP for spouse as its better then H1B.
You don't have to stick one employee if spouse has EAD and she doesn't need to find job in perticular field if she has EAD...
But for you, I would say just use H1B as long as you can.

I guess u need to have an approved labor in EB2 to even think about it. You can't port because you dont have an approved EB2 labor.

I guess u need to have an approved labor in EB2 to even think about it. You can't port because you dont have an approved EB2 labor.

It is not possible to switch to F-1 if one has filed I-140. If you wish to pursue an MBA you basically have 3 choices:
1. US-based part-time program
2. If you are married, you can attend on H-4, with risks of being out of status if your spouse loses employment and the difficulty in obtaining US-based placements.
3. Look outside the US - INSEAD, IMD, MBA-HSG, LBS, ISB, etc. etc. There are very good options outside the US too.

You are asking an employer to do you a favor by sponsoring you a labor certification without a bonafide intent on your part to join the company.
I am sure you would be willing to pay money to the employer for that.
Please just get off this immigration boards these are for broad issues not a forum to encourage dubious if not illegal activity.
This is a very subjective question of intent? If the employer has no problem and willing to support the petition and a job offer when the RFE arrives, how will the UCSIS ever determine intent.
Lets assume the greencard is approved and can it be revoked if i never work for the employer.
And will the fac that i worked for them in the past and resigned before filing a I 14o be a negative factor for adjudication.
